 Tibetans don't want dalai Lama back: China vice minister.
People of the tibet autonomous Region 9(TAR ) o the don't want their spritual leader,the 14th Dalai Lama who is in exile in india , back,a vice-minister of the Chinese state council information Office has said.
        Cui yuiying, who hosted a dinner  for visiting Nepali and Indian journalists in Beijing on Thursday,said that Tibetans revere the Dalai lama in terms of culture and religion as part of the tradition respct for the Dalai Lama but they don't like his political ideas.
Dalai lama are the head monks of the gelugpa lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. potala Palace in Lhasa is their seat.During the 1959 Tibetan uprising,which China regards as an uprising of feudal landlords, the Dalai Lama fled to India . He has seen lived in Dharamsala.
"In tibet when i asked people whether they would want the Dalai Lama back,they said they respect  him culturally and in their religion but they don't agree with his political ideology", said Cui, who has served as the head of the TAR. she said that people respect him mainly for the title."the title was conferred by the central goverment ".   
            According to Chinese goverment officials, there have been
significant improvement in people's lives since 1951-the year  when the Dalai Lama signed a 17-point agreement with China "for a peaceful liberation of Tibet ",-as a result of China's investment in Tibet for "Fifty-sixty years ago,Tibet was totally different from what it is today.nearly 90percent Tibetans did not have accomodation,land,basic utilities and amenities. Development in the lives of ordinary Tibetans took place only recently ", said Cui.
Chinese officials said the Dalai Lama had not been able to restore monasteries and temples during his reign. they were in a "dilapilated"state.The goverment project to protect the religious and cultural heritages is not limited to the restoration of the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple in Lhasa and the Tashilhunpo Monastery in Shigatse.  The central government has provided funds for the renovation of 1,700 monasteries,according to Cui.
                Asked what policy had towards the claimed 200,000 Tibetans living in India,Cui said China had consisted policy towards Tibetan living abroad."Tibetans are returning to Tibet from India. They are always free to at the individuals level."
